I was just bringing it up in the strain of ideas of animalent racials that are triggered on death. I must've missed whatever part where we were talking about racials for a specific animalent.

Righto, let's see more stuff posted. I'll start with the game-breakers to get y'all thinking

Ever Wary: Requires Heightened senses; 2wp: call "Dodge" when taking Sneak effects.

Iron Will: 2wp: Take effect Pacify, Paralyze legs rather than Dominate, Attract, or Fear.

Hot blooded: Double length of Berserk. Replace Pacify with Slow.
- Boiling blood: After taking (Pacify) slow, Berserk 5s (Doubles to 10s)
Rage Strike: While under Berserk, Curse all Skills. Basic Strike +1 to all swings.

Rhino's Hide: DR+1 to all locations while Berserk

I don't think dodge should ever be allowed to be called against sneak. Because in the sneak description it says "cannot be dodged," and not being able to call defenses is the only reason it's better than body damage.

Now, a normal willpower dodge would be different. I could see that as a racial.

I personally really like the idea of Iron Will, although I think it should be more difficult to resist dominate and fear than attract, as they are tier 3 spells and are meant to be epic.

Also, though I understand the flavor behind it, I don't like the idea of calling a player's racial "Rhino's Hide" when we call rhinohidng a no-no in the game.

I hate to come in and pop any creative bubble, but I'm afraid most of this is overpowered and not going to be purchase-able.

We try to avoid 'conversation' effects when we can. That means not giving a nifty offensive power, and then adding a defensive power to counter it, requiring another offensive power to make it stick. Things that get rid of sneak need to remain exceedingly rare. And when there is a full dodge thrown in to boot, this one is entirely overpowered.

Actually this one isn't bad. It's effectively a Mental Resist. It's broad application vs mental effects might make it a higher racial power trick, and have a few racial powers as Pre-Reqs.

This effect is fine, although I wouldn't be surprised if it landed a 1 wp cost for slight balancing.

I understand the flavor you're going for. But this can't work. Encouraging people to go Berserk is fine, but giving them what amounts to something that can't be bought in the system isn't. You can't have one racial power that makes any level power stronger than the highest level physical characters, and allow PCs to break that ceiling we've put on all of the characters.

I like the idea of a WP based fear effect.

Back when the game actually had flight they had flight for Stamina (which was the precursor of Willpower).

Now it would depend entirely on the flavor of Crow you were going for as to what you would get.

I had thought the classic, mischievous-and-clever variety of crow, complete with spastic-birdy-attention-span moments. But it's still largely just an idea and probably an awful lot of black craft feathers.

Yep! I've also seen black-feather mask-making materials I could use, and black feather head ornaments... etc. I would have a lot of fun with the costuming if I ever got off my butt to do it. <3

For the Zerker combo and the "Nosneak", that was more of a "Start at broken, continue from there" deal. (And the Rhino hide was named like that on purpose Razz)

So, on that note, a more balanced seeming berserk animalent. I'll go with.. badger.

Wounded Fury-Once per encounter: When put into bleedout by physical damage or Fire damage, berserk 20s(Cannot be modified), 2wp Strike. Slow, damage to body ends berserk and forces you into phase out count.

Hot Blooded: Double length of all Berserk effects, 1wp resist Pacify.

Rage Strike: While Berserk, 2wp Basic Strike +1.

Tough Hide: +1 HP.

Inarticulate: Unable to Incant. (RP:difficulty with long words or ones with complex pronunciations. )

While keeping the general themes of Rage strike and Hot Blooded, but taking into account that throwing out 2s is still a little scary. At most, a bleeding out badger could call a 2 for 4wp. Though, I'm not sure what other racial hindrances there are.

Remember most of the beginning racial things are within tier 0 or 1, and to get better need more detriments.
